Walnut Crescent Cookies

This is my mother-in-law’s recipe and my hubby’s absolute favorite.

1 Cup Butter

1/3 Cup Sugar 2 Cups flour 3/4 Cup chopped Walnuts 2 teaspoons water 2 teaspoons vanilla Confectioners Sugar Heat oven to 325° F. Cream the butter and sugar thoroughly. Mix in water and vanilla. Blend in flour until well mixed, then stir in walnuts. Chill for 3-4 hours in refrigerator (this is optional but makes the dough easier to work with). Roll the dough into long rolls about 1/2 inch in diameter. Cut into 3 inch lengths and shape into crescents on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 325° F for about 15 minutes ... do not brown cookies. Allow to cool slightly, then dip in confectioners sugar to coat.
