Linguini with White Cheese Sauce
This is a nice pasta with a light Italian flavor, similar to Fetuccini Alfredo.
1/2 package linguini (about 4 ounces)
1/2 cup half and half
1/2 cup shredded asiago
1/2 cup shredded romano
1/2 cup shredded parmesan
2 Tablespoons butter
2+ Tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon garlic granules
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Boil macaroni until tender and drain.
In a separate saucepan, melt butter. Add
garlic, parsley, pepper, and flour and whisk to make a roux. Slowly add the
half and half and bring just to a gentle boil, stirring constantly.
Reduce heat to low and add the cheeses, stirring frequently until all the
cheese is melted and the mixture is uniform.
Add the pasta and stir until well mixed.
