Chocolate Chip Cookies

Who doesn’t love chocolate chip cookies? This is our favorite recipe. I usually make a little extra dough so the pup can have “special cookies” without having to worry about problems with chocolate and walnuts. 2 1/4 Cups flour 3/4 Cup brown sugar 3/4 Cup sugar 2 Large eggs 1 cup unsalted butter 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon sea salt 2 cups bittersweet chocolate baking chips (we use those with 60% cacao) 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional) Heat oven to 375° F. Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl. Cream the butter, sugars, and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Add the eggs, one at a time, and mix until smooth. Add the flour mixture slowly while continuing to mix. Drop small spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes (until a light, golden brown) at 375° F.
